Dr. Pappas Why do you not list a stative active in your intermediate grammar?
Answer: The stative active has more to do with the state of being verb “to be” than the active voice. In fact, the older grammars do not identify a separate stative active usage, so I do not list it. This does not mean that a stative active does not exist; it is just that I felt there was no need to uniquely identify it as such, since grammar already identifies a state of being verb.
